of New Zealand, across the Coromandel Peninsula - traversing the beautiful New Zealand countryside.

This DVD chronicles the third stage of the trek from Port Jackson to Tairua following the journey over 7 days from the 16th to the 22rd March 2008.

Project status

12 July

Hey there, i'm back in NZ and sending out the remaining orders, apoplgies for the short hiatus.

2nd July

All the preordered DVD's have been shipped Monday/Tuesday, Phil is currently on a shoot in Europe for a week and a bit, but will be checking his emails when he can regarding any queries.


26th June

Volume 3 has been completed. The master disc has been dropped of at the duplicators this morning, and the dvd preorders will be ready for shipping on monday!


23rd June

The Editing is complete! Dvd running time is 76 mins. Currently we are encoding the dvd ready for manufacture.

20th June

Final revisions continue, still waiting on day 7. The final deadline for completion is Mon 23 June, then the transfer to DVD and to the manufacturers Thurs.

16th June

The running time for the first six days of the dvd is around 70 minutes. On reviewing this rough cut some revisions will have to be made before the dvd is complete. We are also still waiting on a cut of day 7. However, The titles, dvd menu's and extra's have been finished.

15th June

A second promo is up - this one's for the bikers.


13th June

Still waiting for day 7, however days 1-6 are cut as are theopening credits. However Ray Woolf has offered to rerecord the treksong for this dvd, so if this happens, we plan to modify the titleswith the new version!

The maps are also complete.


2nd June

Day 4 and 7 remain to be edited, also the title sequenceand extras to go. Once the remaining 2 days are cut, it's time torefine the edit, make the last changes and smooth out the rough edges.Once this is done we have to prepare the cut for DVD manufacture. 


26th May

The first half of the DVD is cut, with the last 4 days to be refined. Work has begun on route maps and graphics.


14th May

10th May

Best Case Scenario: Our current aim is to have the dvdready for manufacture at the end of may, but potenially it could be midjune. We'll keep you posted. Also any queries, send me an email; phil@chaosenginex.com


9th May

Theoutline of the dvd is taking shape, all seven days have been fleshedout. Running time is around 3 and a half hours. Time to begin cuttingaway the excess. Trailers should be available for viewing within acouple of days.

2nd Apr

After a few technical difficulties postproduction has begun on volume 3. With 24 hours of vision shot, we arecurrently editing day1.
